About Me

There is something about bringing an image to life with sound that excites me, whether it is the creative aspects of designing sound effects or using additional equipment to manipulate effects to mix each element in a way that the audience is captivated and fully immersed in the atmosphere created. The marriage of visual effects and editing techniques continue to enrich the story, developing a world or reality for the audience to experience.

But now, a little bit more about how I got here…

I started writing music when I was 8 years old, playing with cassette tape decks, recording compositions and winning local contests in Southeast Texas. By the time I was in high school, I knew I wanted to work in the entertainment industry, with thoughts of both music and film. After my freshmen year of college at Belmont University, I discovered how much I enjoyed audio engineering. I transferred to the University of Colorado in Denver where my music business degree developed into a Bachelor of Science in Music, emphasizing in both Music Business and Recording. After my first film course, Post Production I, I picked up a minor in Theater, Film & TV production and took several other courses including Intro to Digital Effects, Production Management Techniques and Movie Writing.

I currently work at Best Buy as a Mobile Manager leading, inspiring, and encouraging innovation and creativity in the digital mobile market. In my previous role as a District Administrative Assistant, I created training tools for company selling strategies, Musical Instrument Store business analysis reports, Budgeting Projection tools and organized community involvement for stores in the Ventura County/San Fernando Valley/North Los Angeles area.

I welcome opportunities, internships and learning experiences, striving to be the best in what I do, holding other team members to the same expectation. I think it is important to learn from the industry leaders of today to prepare ourselves for the development of future technologies enabling us to plan and successfully transition into what's next...
